2680 Natchez Trace Parkway · Tupelo, MS

Why you should go…

The Natchez Trace Parkway runs 444 miles from Natchez, Mississippi, to the Nashville area, roughly following the Old Natchez Trace used by American Indians, settlers and soldiers. You can drive it, bike it, hike short trails, ride horses or camp along the way. Stops include Emerald Mound, the Mount Locust site and the Meriwether Lewis gravesite. The main visitor center sits near Tupelo at milepost 266, and commercial traffic is not allowed on the road.
