Lynn, MA
Lynn Woods is a roughly 2,200-acre forested park founded in 1881 and run by the City of Lynn. Visitors can use more than 30 miles of trails for hiking, running, horseback riding, biking, cross-country skiing, and nature walks. Three reservoirs sit among the woodland and supply drinking water to the city. Dungeon Rock, an underground tunnel tied to local pirate legends and treasure stories, is a popular stop. Formal areas including a rose garden, a horticultural garden, and an amphitheater offer a more structured setting. The main entrances and parking are on Pennybrook Road and Great Woods Road.
