Shore Road to Perkins Cove · Ogunquit, ME
The Marginal Way is a paved cliff walk along the Atlantic in Ogunquit, about 1.25 miles long, with views over rocky ledges and open ocean. It began with a 1925 gift of oceanfront land to the town by Josiah Chase Jr., and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. The path is lined with bayberry, honeysuckle and sea roses, and bicycles are not allowed on it.
