About National Capital Trolley Museum

The museum preserves and explains the electric street and interurban railways that served the Washington region. Visitors can browse family-friendly exhibits and hands-on displays at the visitor center, then board a living collection of historic street cars. The rides run along a short woodland track in Northwest Branch Park. The museum also hosts seasonal events, school programs, and birthday parties, and it is run as a nonprofit organization.
