Visitors can swim and boogie board at four lifeguard-staffed fields, while surfers and surf anglers also use the coast. Field 2 has a pitch and putt course and a large volleyball area, and Field 3, the oldest recreation area, offers picnic space near a landmark water tower. Field 5 provides access to a nature walk leading to the Fire Island Lighthouse, along with a playground.
