About Trail View State Park

Trail View is a linear state park on Long Island that follows part of the Nassau/Suffolk Greenbelt Trail. Its hilly ground and open fields suit hikers and cyclists, and its mix of forest, marsh, and open land draws birders through the year. The park sits on the Atlantic flyway, so spring and fall migrations are especially busy. Horseback riding and cross-country skiing are allowed on a limited basis. The northern and southern sections are managed by different nearby state parks, and dogs are not allowed in the northern section.
