About Storm King State Park
Storm King State Park sits in the southeast part of the Town of Cornwall, beside the Hudson River in Orange County. Its central feature is Storm King Mountain. The park is largely undeveloped, so visitors should expect few facilities: there are no toilets and parking is limited. Hikers come for the trails and the open green space, and the park's lookouts reach across the Hudson Valley toward the Catskills. Hunting is permitted in season, but only on the west side of Route 9W and only for big game.
