Taughannock Falls State Park centers on a waterfall that drops 215 feet past cliffs rising nearly 400 feet above its gorge. Gorge and rim trails provide views from above the falls and from the base at the end of the gorge trail. Campsites and cabins overlook Cayuga Lake, with a marina, boat launch, and beach nearby. In winter, a multi-use trail serves hikers and cross-country skiers and passes sledding slopes and natural skating ponds. The park also offers pavilions for rent, free educational gorge tours, and seasonal hunting for deer by bow.
