Venetian Pool

2701 De Soto Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134 · Coral Gables, FL

Why you should go…

Coral Gables turned an old coral rock quarry into this dreamlike public pool in 1924, designed by Phineas Paist and Denman Fink with cascading waterfalls, cave-like grottoes, arched Venetian bridges, and a palm-shaded sun deck. Cool aquifer water, drained and refilled daily, keeps it refreshing even in August, and it holds a spot on the National Register of Historic Places, rare company for a swimming pool. Non-resident adult admission is $23; arrive early, as daily capacity is limited.
