Willow River State Park in northwest Wisconsin is known for Willow Falls and the deep gorge carved by the Willow River. The roughly 2,800-acre property includes prairie remnants, hiking trails, family and group campgrounds, lakeside picnic areas, and a nature center. Visitors can paddle, fish, and swim on Little Falls Lake. Because it sits near the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, it is among the more heavily visited state parks in Wisconsin.
