About

About Bighorn Country

Bighorn Country is Wyoming's tourism region for the northeastern part of the state, covering Gillette, Buffalo, Kaycee, and Sheridan at the base of the Bighorn Mountains. Gillette, the seat of Campbell County, is home to the Rockpile Museum and area coal-mine tours. Buffalo, in Johnson County, has the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum and a historic downtown, and Visit Buffalo & Kaycee promotes the town together with nearby Kaycee. The region lies between the Bighorn Mountains and the Black Hills along Interstate 90.
