About Bighorn Basin

The Bighorn Basin is a valley in northwest Wyoming ringed by mountains, with Cody near its western edge and Worland, Powell and Lovell as its other main towns; Red Lodge, Montana lies across the state line to the north. Cody's venues include Old Trail Town, the Cody Cattle Company and Wyoming River Trips, plus Wyoming Whiskey's distillery in nearby Kirby. Worland's Washakie Museum & Cultural Center and Powell's Heart Mountain Interpretive Center cover the region's paleontology and World War II history.
