About The Alleghenies
The Alleghenies is a Pennsylvania tourism region covering Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, and Huntingdon counties, including the towns of Bedford, Huntingdon, and State College. Bedford County is known for Old Bedford Village and a network of historic covered bridges, and Huntingdon County centers on Raystown Lake and Lincoln Caverns. State College, home to Penn State University and the Happy Valley area, is part of the same region. The cluster also reaches into Allegany County, Maryland, where Cumberland sits along the C&O Canal and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.
