This state park sits about 4.5 miles south of Freedom, near State Highway 50, and covers roughly 200 acres. Its main draw is a gypsum cave that the park describes as one of the largest of its kind in the world and the only gypsum show cave in the United States. Guided tours run on a lit path and are capped at 30 visitors per group for safety, and a fee applies to the tour. Visitors can also book RV or tent sites, walk hiking trails, and use picnic areas and group shelters. Wild caving is available in four caves maintained for that purpose, with permits sold at the park office and no permits issued from October through April to protect hibernating bats. The park also has a gift shop with nature, cave, and bat-themed souvenirs.
