Nine connecting kettle lakes, left by retreating ice sheets, are the heart of this 2,718-acre park about 19 miles northwest of Fort Wayne. Only electric motors are allowed on the water, so it suits canoes, kayaks and quiet fishing. About 29 miles of forested trails, a nature center, family cabins, camping, a swimming area and the historic one-room Stanley Schoolhouse round out a visit. Cars with Indiana plates pay $7 a day and out-of-state cars pay $15.
