Dolliver Memorial State Park sits in northwest Iowa and is valued for its natural bluffs and rock formations. The roughly 594-acre park offers more than five miles of hiking trails that pass through forest, canyon, oak hillsides, and hilltop prairie. Visitors can explore Boneyard Hollow, a box canyon with streams and cliffs, and the Copperas Beds, sandstone formations shaped by erosion. Woodland-era mounds near the southeast end of the park are protected, and visitors are asked to stay off them. Overnight options include two family cabins and a campground with electric sites, and two historic CCC-era day-use lodges and a shelter can be reserved for group events.
