A 22-acre waterfront park in Marquette's Lower Harbor with open lawn, a large wooden playground, a bike path, and a boat ramp.
200 North Lakeshore Boulevard, Marquette, MI 49855 · Marquette, MI
This waterfront park sits just north of the ore dock in Marquette's Lower Harbor and covers about 22 acres. Visitors will find a broad grassy area, benches, picnic tables, and a big community-built wooden play structure called Kid's Cove. A period-style concession and restroom building, a boat ramp, and a nearby breakwater are also on site. A shoreline bike path crosses the park, and lit walkways with vintage-style lamps follow the bulkhead. Salmon and trout fishing draws anglers mainly in spring and fall. Since its 1989 dedication, the lawn has become a favorite spot for city festivals, concerts, and fireworks. The Cinder Pond Marina, with 101 slips, sits right next door.
