About Indian Lake State Park

Indian Lake State Park covers 567 acres in two units on the south and west shores of Indian Lake, five miles west of Manistique. The lake is 6 miles long and 3 miles wide but no deeper than 18 feet, so it suits small boats, swimmers and anglers. The south unit has a 145-site modern campground, a buoyed swim beach, a boat launch and two picnic shelters built by Civilian Conservation Corps crews in the 1930s. Michigan cars need a Recreation Passport; out-of-state cars pay $12 a day or $42 a year.
