About Fair Haven Beach State Park

Fair Haven Beach State Park sits on the eastern stretch of the Lake Ontario shoreline in upstate New York. Visitors find tall shoreline bluffs, sandy beaches, and hilly woods along the water. The park offers swimming at a guarded beach area, plus boating, fishing, biking, hiking, and picnicking. Canoes and kayaks can be rented for use on the inland Sterling Pond waterway. Campgrounds and a cabin colony are set among rolling woodland, and the park is also popular for winter snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. Amenities include a golf course, pavilions, shelters, a playground, and boat launches.
