Spanning 447 acres, this county park combines wooded land and steep slopes with flat floodplain along Irondequoit Creek. Visitors can use softball diamonds, a multi-use field, tennis and pickleball courts, an off-leash dog park, a playground, and a seasonal sledding hill. Hikers and walkers can choose from several marked trails, and a small boat launch lets paddlers reach the creek. The park also contains a replica of Fort Schuyler, and its history includes Indigenous portage routes and an early trading settlement. It was the first Monroe County park.
