Frontier Texas is an interactive museum and visitor center in downtown Abilene that traces the region's history from 1780 to 1880 using life-sized holographic figures. Exhibits recreate scenes such as a buffalo stampede and a saloon shootout, narrated by historical spirit guides including a Native American, a soldier, and a cattle driver. The museum spans 14,000 square feet on a 6.4-acre site.
