The park sits beside Lake Walter F. George, also called Lake Eufaula, in southwest Georgia. A boat ramp and swimming beach give easy lake access. Anglers come for bass and other southern freshwater species, and the lake has produced a record blue catfish. Visitors may spot alligators, deer, beavers, river otters, eagles, and osprey. The grounds include Meadow Links Golf Course, sport courts, and a marina. Overnight guests can stay in cottages or campsites. Hiking, birding, and biking trails are also available.
