About Glover Archbold Park

Glover Archbold Park is a 183-acre stream-valley park in northwest Washington, DC, and is one of the finger parks of Rock Creek Park. Its main feature is a trail of nearly 2.5 miles that runs the length of the park from Van Ness Street NW toward the Foundry Branch Park trail, which links to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal towpath. Several major streets cut through the park, so walkers must take care when crossing. Bicycles are not permitted, and the dirt paths are meant for foot traffic only. There is no central parking lot, so visitors park on nearby streets, where restrictions apply.
