About Guilford Courthouse National Military Park

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park preserves 250 acres of the battlefield where Nathanael Greene's American army met Lord Cornwallis on March 15, 1781. Cornwallis won, but his losses set the British on the road to surrender at Yorktown seven months later. Start at the visitor center for a map, a museum and two films, then follow the one-way tour road past 29 monuments and the Hoskins Farmstead. Park gates close at 5 pm, so plan to finish your loop before then.
