About Callahan State Park

More than 800 acres of fields, woods and ponds spread across Framingham and Marlborough, with 7 miles of marked trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. About 60 acres are still farmed under permit, which keeps the meadows open for bird watching, and the Bay Circuit Trail passes through. Dog walkers like it because dogs may run off leash in set areas, though they must be leashed near lots, roads and private land. Parking at the entrance is free. Grilling and open fires are not allowed.
