About Marine Park

Marine Park is Brooklyn's largest park, about 800 acres on the edge of Jamaica Bay, and 530 acres of its grassland and salt marsh are protected as a Forever Wild preserve. The Salt Marsh Nature Trail follows Gerritsen Creek, where you can watch marsh birds and horseshoe crabs. The park also has a golf course, ballfields, bocce courts, playgrounds and a kayak launch at Gerritsen Inlet. Urban Park Rangers run programs at the Salt Marsh Nature Center on weekends.
