About Molly's Falls Pond State Park

Molly's Falls Pond State Park surrounds a reservoir in north central Vermont that is also called Marshfield Reservoir. The park covers about 1,064 acres, and the pond itself spans roughly 411 acres. Visitors come to swim from the shore, launch their own boats, and fish for trout, bass, pike, pickerel, and perch. Remote campsites and picnic spots can be reached by boat, with one site also accessible on foot. The shoreline and nearby wetlands host wildlife such as moose, deer, waterfowl, and common loons. A park interpreter offers hands-on programs at the nearby Groton Nature Center. The land has a history tied to a 1920s dam, a flooded farming community, and a later purchase by the state.
