Located in the Adirondack Park region of northern New York, this natural history center was formerly called the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks. Visitors can explore indoor exhibit halls, watch films and live shows, and meet resident Adirondack animals during scheduled encounters. Outdoors, the grounds include woodland trails, guided river paddling, an installation called Wild Walk, and a forest play area for children. Timed-entry tickets are offered online, and weekends tend to sell out, so midweek visits are often less crowded.
