Lovers Leap sits on the Housatonic River near Lake Lillinonah and packs scenic overlooks, industrial history, and Native American legend into a compact site. Visitors can cross a century-old iron lenticular truss bridge that rises about 100 feet above the gorge, then walk a short trail to a rock outcrop named for a legend of star-crossed lovers. The park holds roughly four miles of trails and factory ruins, an old estate, and other remnants of the industrial era in its northwest section.
