About Skidaway Island State Park

This park sits near Savannah and borders a waterway that is part of Georgia's Intracoastal Waterway. Its trails pass through maritime forest and beside salt marsh, reaching a boardwalk, and visitors often spot deer, fiddler crabs, raccoons, and egrets. Campers can choose shaded sites under live oaks, rental camper cabins with screened porches, or yurts, and groups can use picnic shelters and a larger enclosed shelter. The beaches of Tybee Island are under an hour away for cooling off in summer. Some trail and tower areas are temporarily closed, so check current conditions before visiting.
