Watoga State Park sits in the highlands of Pocahontas County and is the largest of West Virginia's state parks, spanning roughly 10,100 acres. Visitors can hike its trails, fish, and go boating, and the park also offers cabins and campsites. The Greenbrier River Trail borders the park, and the adjacent Calvin Price State Forest adds several thousand more acres of woodland. The park is also noted for some of the darkest night skies in West Virginia.
