About Oxon Cove Park and Oxon Hill Farm

Oxon Cove Park and Oxon Hill Farm is run by the National Park Service as part of National Capital Parks-East. Its Maryland section includes a living farm museum on a large tract at Oxon Hill. Visitors can take part in hands-on programs that show how farming life has shifted over the years. The grounds also trace the site's past, from an early plantation home tied to the War of 1812 to a later hospital farm. Trails wind through forest and meadow beside Oxon Cove, and the farm keeps animals such as cows, horses, and pigs on site.
