Blackhawk Waterways is a four-county tourism region in northwestern Illinois, centered on Polo and covering Carroll, Lee, Ogle and Whiteside counties. The area follows the Rock and Mississippi rivers and the Hennepin Canal, with limestone bluffs at Mississippi Palisades State Park and ten state parks in the region. Dixon, the seat of Lee County, is the boyhood home of Ronald Reagan.
