Fun Facts

The hotel was built in 1886 for $25,000, but was fully renovated in 2009 for $1.9 million.

Governor balls were once held in the ballroom of the Elgin Hotel.

During the 1970s, the hotel was saved by a volunteer group, Marion Pride, from being torn down.
