About Salina and Manhattan
This cluster spans north-central Kansas, linking Salina and Manhattan along the Interstate 70 corridor with Emporia further southeast in the Flint Hills. Salina is home to the Rolling Hills Zoo and The Garage automotive museum, and is a member community of the Kansas I-70 Association. Manhattan, home to Kansas State University, sits at the edge of the Flint Hills near the Konza Prairie Biological Station. Emporia, in Lyon County, is promoted separately through its own visitor bureau rather than a single shared regional brand.
